John graduated from University of Tasmania in 2008 and has been working in South Australia since 2009. He did is internship and general medical officer residency at Flinders Medical Centre and also completed an unaccredited Ophthalmology residency at Royal Adelaide Hospital. He then moved to General Practice after-hour locum service for a couple of years and more recently has moved into Aged Care services.
